Escape from Tarkov offers the option to raid as either a SCAV or a PMC. While the PMC is your main character , playing as a Scav means stepping into the shoes of one of the surviving civilians in the Norvinsk region's conflict. Scavs roam the maps in search of resources to defend themselves and survive. Raiding as a Scav can also be a gameplay style or a way to engage in role play. In fact, there are “Scav mains,” players who prefer raiding in this role and rarely use their PMC. However, for most players, it’s a way to mitigate the unforgiving nature of EFT , both in terms of risk and the tension it creates. One notable aspect to consider is that although the Scav you play as seems like a new character each time, their skills improve and level up over time. The more you use the Scav, the better their skills and stats become, just like your PMC's. Advantages of Using the SCAV Free equipment : Scavs spawn with random but free gear, meaning it’s zero-risk. This allows you to play more relaxed or even more aggressively, as you don’t have to worry about losing valuable gear. Neutrality with other Scavs : Other Scavs won’t attack you as long as your reputation with the trader Fence is positive. Reputation Bonuses : The higher your reputation with Fence, the more benefits you gain: Improved Scav starting gear, including high-value items like a TerraGroup Labs access keycard . Reduced costs for services like the Car Extracts for your PMC. Larger BTR storage for transferring items to your hideout without extracting yourself. Faster Scav Case delivery times in your hideout. Higher resale prices when selling items to Fence, as well as access to level 2 stock. More extract points when playing as a Scav. Cooperation from AI Scavs, who will follow or assist you if requested. Neutrality with Scav Bosses once you reach reputation level 6, allowing you to stay close to them, assist them, and loot defeated PMCs. Disadvantages of Using the SCAV While using the Scav have clear advantages, there are also drawbacks: Cooldown timer : Scavs are not always available. After each Scav raid, there is a cooldown period that decreases as your Fence reputation improves. You can reduce this timer further by building and upgrading the Intelligence Center in your hideout. Random gear : Scavs spawn with unpredictable equipment, which usually includes low-quality weapons, ammo, and armor. Healing items are often limited. Reputation penalties : Killing other Scavs (AI and players) or Bosses (except Partisan) makes you a Rogue Scav, which results in a loss of Fence reputation. Also, all Scavs, Bosses and their guards will become hostile and shoot you. This restriction forces you to avoid the usual “shoot-on-sight” mentality, which can lead to hesitation (and death) in critical moments. Late spawn : Scavs usually spawn into maps after the raid has already started. This means: Less time to gather loot or hunt for enemies (but also a quieter raid, with fewer players remaining, and probably some bodies to loot). Scav Karm and Fence Reputation Scav Karma is represented by the reputation you have with the trader Fence. If your Fence reputation falls below zero , all Scavs and Bosses will become hostile, attacking you on sight. Additionally, your Scav's random starting gear will be of much lower quality. To see how to gain or lose Scav Karma (or Fence reputation) and its effect, check this page in the EFT Wiki . When to use the Scav As mentioned earlier, every player has their preferences. I recommend using the Scav to learn a map you’re unfamiliar with, have a more relaxing raid and to look for loot . When I was learning to play, after running a few raids in Practice Mode to get a first look at the map and learn extraction points, I used to do a few Scav runs to better understand the layout, hot zones, and typical players movements (while also looting items and gear from dead body I found). Additionally, I sometimes used the Scav just to extract and pass its gear to my PMC , either to save money or to start a raid with minimal equipment. A sort of "Almost zero to hero", aiming to improve my loadout by killing other PMCs (or looting already dead ones), or just see what's going to happen without fear of losing my hard-earned gear (Gear Fear ). Now I use the Scav whenever I want to enjoy a quieter raid with less anxiety or when I want to avoid risking money and gear with my PMC (or when I have just the time for a quick run in Factory). Fun fact : even the most relaxed raid using a Scav can become extremely tense and anxiogenic once you find by chance a great piece of loot and suddenly you want to extract alive to take it home with you! To know more about how, why and when to play the Scav I suggest watching this great video by the unmached streamer Pestily: HOW TO USE YOUR SCAV! - GUIDE - Escape from Tarkov Next: PvP or PvE? comments debug Comments Write a comment Write a comment Share Your Thoughts Be the first to write a comment.

Many players tend to freeze when they hear or see enemy movement, trying to determine the enemy’s location and movements, stopping to avoid making noise themselves. This can be the right behaviour if the enemy hasn’t noticed you, and may allow you to surprise them with an ambush. However, it's better to assume there is always the possibility that, as you heard or saw them, they might have already heard or seen you before you stopped moving. Experienced players can easily make you believe they haven’t noticed you, only to set up an ambush or target you while you think they’ve moved on. Staying still gives them the advantage , letting them take the initiative. They can surround and flank you, create distractions with other sounds like gunfire or grenade explosions, effectively trapping you and making you an easy prey . It’s better to move and keep the enemy uncertain of your exact position rather than remaining in a spot where they’ve already pinpointed you , giving them the initiative . In any case, never be passive. If you want to set an ambush, do it. But never freeze in a corner waiting for a sound. Make sure to always have a plan (and possibly also a plan B in case things go south). This leaves you vulnerable and wastes time, but it’s crucial to know that you can perform other actions while looting . To loot a container (dead body, backpack, crate, med bag, sports bag, etc.), you click, the inventory interface opens, and then you must wait as your character inspects the container’s contents, revealing each item one by one. If there's only one item, looting is swift. But if there are multiple items, it can drag on for several seconds . It is vital to know —and exploit—the fact that, simultaneously while your character inspects the container, you can perform other actions: Heal yourself Perform surgery Refill magazines with ammo Eat/Drink Reload your weapon This way, you optimize your time by handling these crucial tasks upfront. Once you finish looting, you’ll be combat-ready and have saved a ton of time. TIP: With the Attention skill maxed out, you have a 50% chance of revealing a container’s contents instantly. (But maxing out your skills takes a lot of time!) More Details While you wait for your character to finish inspecting the container you opened, you cannot right-click an item to open its menu and select an option—but you can double-click an item to use it. This means you can double-click a bottle of water to drink it or a food item to eat it. Likewise, you can double-click a medkit, a bandage, a tourniquet, or a splint to heal yourself , stop bleeding, or treat a fracture. In addition to double-clicking, you can click and hold the left mouse button to drag an object. For example, you can move items to organize your inventory or make room for what you’ll find in the container. Similarly, you can grab a stack of ammo and drag it onto an empty magazine to refill it simultaneously. And so on. Other Actions You Can Perform Simultaneously This isn’t strictly related to looting, but remember: there are other actions you can do simultaneously. It’s important to experiment and get comfortable with all these mechanics—they’ll save you time and let you get back to your mission or the fight. While refilling an empty magazine with ammo: You can also reload your weapon by right-clicking on the weapon and selecting “reload” or by right-clicking on another magazine (not the one you’re loading) and choosing “install.” While reloading your weapon: You can open your inventory and start other actions, such as refilling an empty magazine with ammo, eating, or drinking. While eating or drinking: You can open your inventory and move items around to organize them. Instant Weapon Reload It’s also very useful to know that under certain circumstances you can reload your weapon instantly: If you’re eating, drinking, healing any negative effect (including performing surgery with a surgical kit) : Right-click your weapon and choose “reload” or right-click a magazine and choose “install”—and the reload will be instantaneous and animation-free. If you open your inventory and right-click your weapon and choose “reload” (or right-click a magazine and choose “install”) while holding another weapon (secondary weapon, pistol, or melee weapon). The same applies if you’re holding your primary weapon and perform “reload” on your secondary weapon or sidearm, or “install” on their respective magazines—they’ll reload instantly. This trick can be a lifesaver during a hectic firefight when you’re running out of ammo. However, it requires you to keep a cool head and remember the trick on the fly, and a bit of practice. You need to be able to stop in a safe spot, change the weapon you're holding, open your inventory, right-click, and select the option, so it really depends on the situation and your speed. In either case, you’ll need to approach and loot them. First, remember that looting bodies is optional . Only loot if it’s relatively safe (for example, avoid looting bodies in open fields where you’re exposed to multiple lines of sight), and only after checking that there are no other enemies nearby. You can never be completely sure there are no threats around, so if it feels too risky, it’s better to move on . It’s far better to miss out on loot than to die and lose everything you already have. There’s also the infamous “YOLO Technique ”, where you rush to loot without checking anything, grab what you can as quickly as possible, and run. Sometimes it works out, but don’t complain if it doesn’t, and you end up with a hole in your head! If you decide to loot a body, be quick and avoid wasting time arranging items perfectly in your bag. Take the essentials and leave the rest if you’re out of space or becoming too heavy. Greed can be deadlier than a squad of angry Tagillas. Always remember that danger could be just around the corner and that the sound of gunfire will likely attract other AI or players who will ambush you if you relax too much after eliminating an enemy. Use hotkeys to quickly transfer items to your inventory instead of dragging each item manually, which wastes valuable time. CTRL + Left Click moves an item from an external container to your inventory. ALT + Left Click equips a weapon or wearable item (rig, backpack, helmet, etc.) if the slot is available. DELETE discards an item, dropping it on the ground (read the Keybinds Guide for tips on rebinding this command to a more accessible key, as you'll use it a lot and timing is critical). IMPORTANT: When auto-moving items to your inventory using CTRL + Left Click, be mindful of where they end up. Some items go directly into your backpack, while others—such as ammo, grenades, and magazines—go into your rig. Remember to always leave at least enough space for the magazine in your weapon , or you will drop it when reloading (take into account your side arm magazine too if you have one equipped, and if you have extra mags for it with you). I AM NEW TO TARKOV! Welcome to Tarkov! If you're here, it's because you think you could use a bit of help . I totally get it—I've been in your shoes myself. Unfortunately, back then, The Tarkov Central wasn’t around , so I had to figure things out on my own! To give you a helping hand, I decided not to create just another guide. Instead, I’ve prepared something closer to a tutorial, designed to take new players through a gradual learning process. This approach allows you to start playing (almost) immediately and achieve solid results in the shortest time possible, armed with a basic understanding of Escape from Tarkov. You can then dive deeper through articles, deep dives, and guides available here on TTC . I'm not claiming this is the only or the best way to learn EFT , nor that I know everything about this complex game, but in my experience, I believe this tutorial offers a solid approach to get started without unneeded frustration. The tutorial follows the steps I took to learn EFT myself, refined and adapted with the knowledge I’ve gathered over time. I always try to double-check the information I provide. If you notice any errors or omissions, please let me know right away so I can make corrections as soon as possible. Important Note: This is the first iteration of the tutorial and guide I envisioned. I’ll continue refining it and adding new sections over time. Next: A Beginner Guide to EFT comments debug Comments Write a comment Write a comment Condividi i tuoi pensieri Scrivi il primo commento.

This feature prevents players from entering maps unequipped, which would otherwise carry no risk and no reward for other players killing them (The only and true risk-free option is to play as a SCAV instead of your PMC). However, you can also enable “Tagged and Cursed” manually in the Practice Mode settings. Raiding in Practice Mode with Tagged and Cursed enabled in a small map like Factory is a fantastic way to improve your aim against multiple targets and to practice combat under pressure. If you don’t eliminate AI enemies quickly, you’ll get overwhelmed. Training to survive under pressure is crucial in EFT, as it will happen frequently in raids, and it’s easy to make mistakes in tense situations. TIP : Many EFT players practice in Factory with Tagged and Cursed mode on, setting the AI quantity to “horde” and the difficulty to “easy” to have plenty of targets without getting killed too quickly. TIP 2: Equipping gear in raid will remove the state (unless it's an offline raid, and you enabled the "Tagged and cursed" status manually). Escape from Tarkov offers a unique experience with character movements. Through great animations, inertia and sound design, you can feel the weight of your character and weapon, while enjoying a wide range of movement options. To lean the basics about movement, study the Movement section on this EFT Wiki page: How to Play Guide for Escape from Tarkov Here are some tips about Movement: When you sprint you always reach the maximum speed, no matter how heavy you are. What changes is the time you need to reach the maximum speed and the amount of stamina consumed while sprinting. By default, the Q and E keys let you lean left and right, respectively but I strongly suggest changing them - check the Keybinds Guide i prepared to know how and why. Circle strafing: it's a technique that allows players to reduce the impact of inertia on strafing. In other games, when players are in combat they change strafing direction to dodge bullets. In EFT, instead of just pressing A and then D (or vice versa) to change the strafing direction, when in combat or when peeking an angle, it's advisable to press W or S before pressing the key to go in the opposite direction. So if I am strafing left with A and I want to go right to dodge bullets or to go back to cover behind an angle, instead of pressing D immediately, I press W or S and then D. This way the impact of inertia on my direction change is much lower. The two above tips can be combined to maximize the effect when peeking a corner. And in this other video another move is added, the quick lean tecnique - How to quick lean in Tarkov (peek like no generals) For a comprehensive overview of advanced movement techniques to maximize combat success in Escape From Tarkov, I recommend checking out an interesting and useful YouTube video by streamer DesmondPilak : The Ultimate Beginner Movement Guide for Escape From Tarkov . Being a year old, it includes an outdated section on right-peeking and left-peeking (as shoulder transitions hadn’t been implemented at the time), but it remains highly relevant and valuable. One of the most important thing shown is the freelook peek , when he runs past the door and uses freelook to look inside an spot potential enemies. UPDATE: I found another great video explaining advanced movements and providing additional tips by Tarkov Sherpa, streamer and content creator JonnyBooSock : Advanced Tarkov PVP Mechanics - Escape From Tarkov Guide . This video is also a bit old, so it contains one outdated piece of information in the section about "Building Momentum." It suggests running against a wall to gain momentum, but that's no longer possible. BSG patched this exploit—now, if you run against a wall, your character will stop. Note: It’s recommended to disable automatic vaulting in the game settings , as it increases resource consumption. It’s best to set it to a key you press only when you want to vault. For example, I’ve set it to the spacebar—holding it activates vaulting, while tapping it lets me jump. Check the Keybinds Guide for the full explanation on how to set it properly. This is true for all FPS games, but especially in EFT, where the maps are large and complex, and you can’t predict or monitor every angle from which you might be attacked. It’s crucial to listen closely to the noises around you and, at the same time, to make as little noise as possible . This helps avoid detection by enemies but also allows you to better hear the sounds of approaching foes. To this end, it’s also essential to have high-quality headphones—both in the game (headsets equipped on your character) and as a physical gaming accessory. Check this video by Gigabeef about EFT sounds and which are the best in-game headsets . You don't need the volume turned up too high! While some sounds, like the footsteps of players or AI, can be faint and barely noticeable, setting the volume too high can backfire . Loud sounds from your own movements or gunfire can deafen you , making it harder to detect quieter sounds (and potentially damaging your hearing). Finding the right balance is key. If you’re having trouble distinguishing sounds, rather than increasing the volume, consider investing in better-quality headphones . And with this I mean both the in game ones, and the in real life ones you use for gaming. For the real ones, in-ear monitors (IEMs) can also offer great performance at a lower cost than over-ear headphones. Note: Unfortunately, EFT’s audio can sometimes be buggy , so if you didn’t hear an enemy, it may not be due to your headset or a lack of attention. You’ll need to learn which situations (and specific areas on the maps) might cause audio glitches, where the game’s sound isn’t always reliable. TIP: to better understand the direction a sound is coming from it's often useful to rotate your head (using freelook) or whole character. By listening on how the sound moves among the left and right hear, you will be able to understand better, for example, if it's behind or in front of you. Besides what you’ll find on the bodies of enemies you’ve defeated, each map has scattered loot that you’ll find on the ground, placed on furniture and surfaces, and inside containers you’ll need to open to access. Initially, you may not find much loot around. This is because, in addition to not always being easy to spot (especially if you don’t know what it looks like), loot doesn’t appear everywhere . At the start of each raid, EFT determines what loot is present on the map and where. You’ll need to learn which rooms and locations tend to have loot more frequently. While the potential loot spots are consistent, the presence of loot, the types of containers, their positions, and their contents vary from raid to raid . To get this knowledge, other than experience, you can watch EFT streamers play or the loot guides or map guides they often make, where you can see their loot runs, what they prioritize, etc. I also highly suggest to take a look and study the interactive maps you can find on the EFT wiki . Note: Patch 0.16 introduced a pretty big change by introducing the rule by which now to upgrade your hideout you need FIR (Found In Raid) items . Or Not? One of the most hardcore aspects of Escape from Tarkov is the fact that when your character dies, everything in their inventory stays on their body and can be looted by other players or AI. It’s a sort of “soft permadeath,” because your PMC will retain their acquired level, completed quests, and all their skills and stats, but you’ll lose everything you took with you into the raid where you died. I believe this mechanic originates from games like the DayZ mod for Arma 2, one of the first online games to use this feature. The difference with DayZ is that EFT’s game scenarios are not persistent, so you cannot respawn and return to your body to recover what you lost. It's probably for this reason that in EFT, “if you die, you lose everything” but with two exceptions. Click on the links to read the articles I prepared about them: Secure Container Insurance Note: In a recent interview , Nikita explained that the true origin of the soft permadeath and the insurance system comes from EVE Online, which he was playing during the period when he first started thinking about and envisioning Escape from Tarkov. When you start playing Escape from Tarkov, or after a wipe, every player faces what seems like a difficult choice: should I play as a BEAR or a USEC ? Personally, I’ve almost always chosen USEC and I only played as a BEAR once for two reasons: Curiosity. Starting weapons. BEARs begin with Russian firearms, which makes it easier to find compatible ammunition and weapon mods early on. However, in practice, the weapon choice didn't make much of a difference. The starting gear has minimal impact, especially since USECs can simply buy and use Russian weapons anyway, as many common ones are available from early levels. A Major Difference: Rogue AI Faction Behavior One big difference between BEAR and USEC at the moment is that the Rogue AI faction is aggressive towards BEARs but remains neutral towards USECs unless provoked . This has a significant impact when playing on Lighthouse (currently the only map where players can encounter Rogues), especially when completing quests there. USECs are not shot on sight by Rogues. They can enter the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) without being attacked, as long as they don’t get too close to the Rogues or fire at them. However, if a USEC shoots at a Rogue, all Rogues will become hostile towards them for the next three raids (these can take place on any map, not just Lighthouse). BEARs are shot on sight by Rogues—and from extreme distances with pinpoint accuracy (it is likely a bug and should be fixed by BSG). This means that, before being able to enter the Water Treatment Plant, BEARs must clear out all Rogues , who often have aimbot-level precision and become even deadlier when using the mounted guns on the three WTP buildings. BSG has long mentioned the possibility of adding a faction (RUAF?) that would be neutral or friendly to BEARs and hostile to USECs, but so far, this has not been implemented. As a result, only BEARs currently suffer the disadvantage of having an AI faction that is exclusively hostile to them. Which One Should You Choose? For this reason, at least for now, choosing USEC is recommended if you want to take advantage of this mechanic. However, keep in mind that many players still choose BEAR and manage to progress—even if it’s more difficult. If you want more information about the differences between BEAR and USEC before making your choice, I recommend this excellent video by Gigabeef, known for his thorough and informative content: Should You Choose BEAR or USEC In Escape From Tarkov? Haha! Gotcha. In Escape from Tarkov, there’s no map showing your position , active quests, or who’s around you. No waypoints or other aids—it’s as if you’ve been dropped into an entirely unknown place. Thankfully, dedicated EFT fans have created highly detailed 2D and 3D maps, which provide all the information you need . Some of these maps are even interactive , allowing you to zoom in and choose which elements to show or hide. With these maps, you can locate entry points, extraction points, mission objectives, loot areas, and even buried barrel caches and ground caches . There are various sources for these maps, but the best options, in my opinion, are those available on the EFT Wiki (the interactive ones are great, but I use a lot the 3D and 2D ones too, depending on what I need them for) and Map Genie (some maps require a subscription but they are excellent and always updated). IMPORTANT NOTE : Do not rely on the maps you can loot in-game. At the moment, they are completely useless (because they lack any references), and if viewed using the "map" button on the raid map selection screen, they are bugged! But if you think you heard something, never ignore it! Take note of it and either investigate or keep an eye on the area where the sound came from. Never think, “Hmm, I must’ve imagined it,” only to find out you were right all along and pay the price of your frivolity getting killed by a stealthy enemy. TIP: In the sound settings of Escape from Tarkov (EFT), lower the interface volume to 30 so that you can still hear it, but it doesn’t drown out other important in-game sounds. For example, when you’re refilling magazines during a raid, the sound of bullets being loaded is too loud and can mask crucial audio cues, such as an approaching player, a player ADSing, opening their inventory, or other subtle but crucial noises. Remember that it’s not only walking, running or firing your weapons that make noise. In EFT, sounds like accessing your inventory, switching fire modes, raising your weapon to ADS (another reason why being skilled at hip fire is essential), checking your magazine, preparing a grenade, healing, eating, or drinking can be heard from a considerable distance. Also, be mindful of other sounds your character may produce, like heavy breathing after running or groans of pain if injured. So, if you’ve decided that staying silent and still is the best strategy, remain as motionless as possible. TIP: if you need to rotate your character to watch around you or understand better where sounds are coming from, remember 2 things: You can use the freelook function to rotate only your head, which doesn't make any sound If you really need to rotate your whole character, never do it standing still because when your feet skip on the ground to perform the rotation they will generate a very audible sound of friction with the ground. It's better if at the same time you move slightly your character at minimum speed with WASD while rotating (this works better if you're also crouching). Your steps will still make a bit of noise, but sensibly less. Next: Fighting the AI comments debug Comments Write a comment Write a comment Share Your Thoughts Be the first to write a comment.

In these situations—and many others—you’ll learn just how crucial grenades are . Whether they’re explosive or simple flashbangs (a cheaper option), throwing a grenade will always provoke a reaction from the enemy, whether AI or another player, forcing them to move and reposition . If timed right, this reaction can give you the upper hand , even in seemingly hopeless situations. While grenades obviously have high destructive potential, experienced players often use them strategically to force opponents out of cover or make them take shelter, giving them a chance to reposition or launch an attack. The explosion of a grenade is also a great way to mask the sound of your footsteps, allowing you to move without the enemy knowing your direction. Watching gameplay videos from streamers and content creators will showcase these tactics clearly. Knowing where others spawn, the “hot zones” with valuable loot, mission areas, and well-trodden paths is game-changing . These insights come with experience, studying maps, familiarizing yourself with quest locations, and watching videos from streamers and content creators on YouTube. The first step in this learning process can be looking at the map to identify the spawn points . There won’t always be a player at every spawn, but these points give you a sense of where enemies might approach from, so you can keep an eye on those areas and prepare. Another tip is to take into account is timing . Usually, the first minutes of a raid are the busiest. Experienced players know where to go and head for high-value loot areas or advantageous positions early on, before others get there first. Your approach can be to start slowly , avoiding rushing headlong toward your objective. Move cautiously and let those initial minutes pass. Listen closely—you’ll likely hear gunfire and fights, which can also help you pinpoint enemy locations. As things quiet down, some players will have been killed, and others may already be heading to extraction with their loot. This is why the second half of the raid is typically “quieter”—not that you can afford to let your guard down, but the initial chaos has usually subsided. Watch out, however, for players entering the raid as Scavs . Player Scavs usually join the raid later (but it depends on the map when and how much later) have lower-quality gear and are usually more interested in scavenging leftover loot or looting corpses than in combat. But don't forget that Player Scavs, having nothing to lose since they spawn with free random gear, can be unexpectedly dangerous and aggressive in combat . They may even have an advantage over you, as you are likely to be more cautious and afraid of losing your gear, loot, and progress. While it’s true that playing solo has undeniable disadvantages , such as the inability to cover all directions and angles from which enemies might attack and the inferior firepower, the freedom of movement and ability to move more quietly, combined with good map knowledge, effective combat tactics, and quality gear, can offset these drawbacks . Even in situations of being outnumbered, victory is still possible. Another advantage of playing solo is the ability to be more silent and stealthy, making it easier to avoid confrontations . You can hear enemies approaching more clearly, giving you the chance to hide and let them pass unnoticed. On the other hand, playing in a team is highly enjoyable for the teamplay aspect and offers significant advantages , such as covering each other's backs, controlling an area, and coordinating in combat. However, the lack of any indicators to distinguish teammates from enemies, difficulties in effectively communicating movements, and the inevitable noise and distraction caused by your teammates can introduce considerable challenges . It’s not uncommon to find yourself alone, surrounded by a well-organized and prepared enemy team, with no chance of survival. Similarly, a team can be ambushed by a single silent player who, exploiting a moment of distraction within the squad, the confusion caused by one teammate’s death, and the resulting breakdown in communication, manages to eliminate them all—or even causes some of them to accidentally kill each other in the chaos. Without a doubt, starting to play EFT solo is much harder than playing with others , especially if in the team you have more experienced teammates who already know the maps, quests, and tactics. They can teach you and help you avoid making mistakes. However, many argue that playing in a team can also be counterproductive , as relying on more experienced players might prevent you from truly learning the game the way you would by playing solo. My advice? Do both. Play in a team to stay safer and to learn from others . To reduce chaos caused by poor communication and the resulting teamkillings, along with excessive noise and difficulties to track enemies, limit your group size to a duo or, at most, a trio. Then, try playing solo to develop self-reliance and to play with your preferred style and at your own pace , allowing you to explore and learn the maps thoroughly. In any case, it’s important to know that both solo and team play come with their own advantages and disadvantages, making both options well-balanced and equally viable . TIP : to find a team to play with you can join the official EFT Discord , some streamer's Discord channels or you can also check other resources such as the subreddit r/EFT_LFG .
