EFT Tutorial and Guide
THE TARKOV CENTRAL

If You Think You Heard Something, You Did
It’s true that EFT has ambient sounds that can sometimes throw you off, as well as occasional audio bugs that create “false” sounds unrelated to actual threats.
But if you think you heard something, never ignore it!
Take note of it and either investigate or keep an eye on the area where the sound came from.
Never think, “Hmm, I must’ve imagined it,” only to find out you were right all along and pay the price of your frivolity getting killed by a stealthy enemy.
TIP: In the sound settings of Escape from Tarkov (EFT), lower the interface volume to 30 so that you can still hear it, but it doesn’t drown out other important in-game sounds. For example, when you’re refilling magazines during a raid, the sound of bullets being loaded is too loud and can mask crucial audio cues, such as an approaching player, a player ADSing, opening their inventory, or other subtle but crucial noises.
