Weekly 100% Boss Spawn Rotation

Are you tired of roaming the maps of Escape from Tarkov hoping—sometimes praying—to find that elusive boss, only to come up empty-handed? Or worse, running into them exactly when you’re least prepared? Well, things just changed. Big time.

The bosses of Escape from Tarkov are truly a bunch of merciless scoundrels. Not only are they often brutally difficult to fight, but they seem to follow the infamous rule:"If I need them, they’re never there. If I don’t need them—or worse, hope they’re not there—they’ll show up without fail and annihilate me without mercy."

That’s why their spawn rate is a hot topic in the community. For some players (the ones trying to avoid them), it’s way too high (especially in PvE). For those actively hunting them (for quests or for the loot and exp), it’s never high enough.

Unless, of course... it hits 100%.

Yesterday, on May 10th, BSG shared the image you see above on Escape from Tarkov’s social media channels—a polaroid photo featuring Reshala with the word “weekly” written in the corner.

It didn’t take long for the EFT community—led by content creator VeryBadSCAV on X—to connect the dots.

This seemed to reference a suggestion made about two months ago on the Tarkov Community portal, where a player proposed: “Have bosses spawn on maps 100% during a weekly rotation.”

The suggestion had already received a reply from YOWA, Lead of Game Design for EFT, on April 1st. Since May 10th, it has been marked as “Completed” and includes an update from TrentAU, the Community Lead of the Tarkov Community portal, as shown in the image below.

Shortly after, this theory was confirmed in-game: Reshala is now spawning in every raid, marking the official start of a weekly rotation system where one boss will have a 100% spawn rate on their respective map.

How Long Does the Rotation Last?

As confirmed in this Reddit post by TrentAU the initial plan was for this 100% spawn rate to last only over the weekend.

However, BSG later updated the settings, extending the duration to the entire week—right up until the following weekend, when it will be another boss’s turn to rule their map.

Will this system really continue next weekend? We’ll have to wait and eventually see who is the next Boss.

For now... It’s just you and me, Reshala. I’m coming for you!
